Al Gore, Oscar Winner or next President? Both?Filed Under: Political
One of the most prominent figures in America today is the 43rd president of the United States, no, not George Bush, Al Gore. Yes, the man who won the hearts and minds of Americans during his first campaign, yet had it stolen from him due to a lack of corporate connections. Gore is again in the news, however this time it is not for a scandal, rather for his documentary which highlights the inconvenient issue of Global Warming. Some consider “An Inconvenient Truth” the best movie in years, for it is more than just the latest love story. His documentary is amongst the small list of documentaries which are being considered for an Oscar award.
Now to the other topic at hand, the all important ‘08 elections. With Bush continually destroying the economy of America, following a failed course in the war on “terror”, his approval rating on a new low: 30 percent and with the whole shift of power in congress; one must believe American’s want change, and that change will shift to the White House as well.
This leads to the major question, who will be the democratic nominee? Which one will it be? Barack Obama, Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, John Edwards or will it be the former Vice-President Al Gore. Certainly all of the potential candidates have their pro’s, however Gore instantly rises to the top of the list based on his credentials.
Gore has recently denied the notion of a presidential campaign, however has followed that with “I haven’t completely ruled it out”. During his first campaign, Gore was often knocked for being a “know it-all”, essentially someone who the common people could not relate to. However recently the public has seen a new Gore, one which makes sarcastic jokes and appears on comedy shows. Can this be a well thought out plan to not only bring Gore back into the public as well as correct the faults his critics pointed at the first time around.
This might be over thinking on my part, however all the pieces are certainly in place for a Gore ‘08 election.

Al Gore is an amazing man and one of our NATIONAL TREASURES. My husband and I have been fans of his for many years. But he needs to LOSE WEIGHT,BIG TIME,to be more appealing to the American public and especially if he decides to run for presideNT. HANDSOME GUY!
